Kim Meyer

Realtor®

Kim moved to Charleston over 16 years ago from the Northeast and quickly fell in love with the rich history, charm, and southern gentleness of the Holy City.  She knew the moment she and her family arrived that this was home.  She has been selling real estate full-time for 14 years and has consistently been in the top 2% of agents in Charleston. Kim resides in Mount Pleasant with her husband, Jeff, and two children, currently at James Madison University and Clemson University.

What Kim does in her spare time includes interior and exterior design. Her downtime still includes learning all she can about the latest home trends and how best to serve her clients. Her network of top contractors, builders, designers, and vendors provides resources for her clients for new builds or renovations. Nothing brings her more joy than assisting her clients from beginning to end on a new purchase, preparing a home for the market, or helping them through the renovation process.

    Get to know Kim Meyer

    • What I did before Real Estate:

Kim’s passed experience includes Sales and Marketing in the IT industry covering the greater New York City area she and loved every second of it! She learned that a changing environment, meeting different people every day and on-the-go career is what fills her cup. A passion for connecting with people and learning their stories and their big “Why” drives her. People and their history lead her into real estate but mostly, her husband nudging her when her children were babies and saw that she was missing that connection with people. She loved that encouragement and it’s what lead her to this point in her career today.

    • My Real Estate Specialty:

Kim specializes in luxury real estate but honestly loves and works with all different price points in her real estate transactions. She has the honor and privilege to represent generations in her 14 years in the industry. She thrives off the continuing relationships with her clients and their extended family, friends; it honestly drives her and what she loves about it.

    • What my clients say about me/why my clients choose to work with me:

Kim believes her clients return for the personal service that she and her business partner, Kristie Potts, provide at Meyer Potts Properties. They always try to go above and beyond for each client, understand what’s important to them, and make sure they can not only meet their expectations but exceed them. They thrive on the details and customizing plans for each client to make it a fun and informative process.

    • What I love about Smith Spencer Real Estate:

She loves SSRE because of its alignment with hers on the client’s purpose, goals, and positive experience. SSRE is totally in-sync with Kim’s philosophy on customer service and how she is committed to her clients, who have become life-long friends. A “shoulder-to-shoulder” method of connecting with them and understanding each person and transaction’s uniqueness.

    • What I love about Charleston:

What’s not to love, the restaurants, the culture, the weather and mostly the people. She connected instantly. She put her feet on the ground at the Charleston Airport and knew she found home. She was with happy people, who waved as they drove by, say hello, and smile at each other, and just the environment she and her husband wanted to raise their family and it has not disappointed.
